The road not taken                             A estrada não trilhada 

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,            Havia duas estradas numa manhã de outono,

And sorry I could not travel both                    E que pena não pude ambas trilhar         

And be one traveler, long I stood                    E como viajante, quis ali me demorar

And looked down one as far as I could           E a outra longínqua fiquei a fitar

To where it bent in the undergrowth;              Até que de meus olhos pudesse escapar;

Then took the other, as just as fair,                 Então a outra  olhei, tão intensamente,

And having perhaps the better claim,             E talvez me enveredado pelo melhor caminho,

Because it was grassy and wanted wear;        Por sua florida e verdejante paisagem exuberante 

Though as for that the passing there               No vai e vem das passagens presentes 

Had worn them really about the same,           Transpassadas de encantamento incessante.

And both that morning equally lay                 Ambas pela manhã dormem igualmente    

In leaves no step had trodden black.               Por entre folhas nunca vistas antes.

Yet knowing how way leads on to way,          Ainda  sabendo por onde me levaria.

I doubted if I should ever come back.            Me perguntava se ali voltaria. 

I shall be telling this with a sigh                    Devo ter me expressado assim, enfim

Somewhere ages and ages hence:                  Por lugares e noites a fio sem fim:

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—         Havia duas  estradas campestres, e eu--  

I took the one less traveled by,                      Trilhei aquela que mais me atraía 

And that has made all the difference.            E que fez toda diferença no fim.
